Essential productivity kit for .NET and game developers How-To'sReSharper 9.1.2 for Visual Studio 2015 RTM Update! ReSharper 9.1.2 has proven to be unstable in many Visual Studio 2015 RTM installations. If you’re affected, please apply available workarounds until ReSharper 9.1.3 is available.Visual Studio 2015 and .NET Framework 4.6 were both released to market yesterday. Kudos to Microsoft for making this finally happen. We thought we would come up with a quick guide to help you sort out what to expect from ReSharper integration into the final RTM build of Visual Studio 2015. Here’s what you should know:For those of you wondering if you need ReSharper in Visual Studio 2015 at all, look no further than this comparison table that gives an overview of ReSharper’s benefits over bare Visual Studio 2015.ReSharper 9.1.1 does work with Visual Studio 2015 RTM although it does have a few known issues. The major issue with 9.1.1 is that it is blocking Visual Studio’s quick actions: whenever both ReSharper and Visual Studio detect a problem and provide a fix, you don’t have a way to choose Visual Studio’s quick action over ReSharper’s.To solve the 9.1.1 integration problem outlined above, we have prepared and just published ReSharper 9.1.2. It provides two critical fixes:As was the case with ReSharper integration into pre-release builds of Visual Studio 2015, ReSharper 9.1.2 merges its own quick-fixes and other contextually available actions with Visual Studio’s own quick actions into its Alt+Enter menu:ReSharper 9.1.2 maps Visual Studio’s shortcut for displaying quick actions (Ctrl+.) to its own Alt+Enter menu. In other words, you can use either Ctrl+. or Alt+Enter to display ReSharper’s menu that encapsulates ReSharper’s and Visual Studio’s actions. Previous versions of ReSharper suppressed Ctrl+. instead of taking advantage of it.If you are using Visual Studio 2015 RTM, please download ReSharper 9.1.2 to enjoy these integration improvements. Corresponding updates to other ReSharper Ultimate tools are also available. As announced before, we expect to release ReSharper 9.2 in August, and it is currently available via Early Access Program. ReSharper 9.2 will focus on properly supporting Windows 10 application development, as well as ASP.NET 5 development based on the most recent ASP.NET 5 milestone available by then. We’ll also be monitoring if there are any major Visual Studio 2015 integration issues discovered by then, and if they are, we’ll fix them.We hope you’ll find Visual Studio 2015 RTM as good as it gets and enjoy it even more when you download ReSharper 9.1.2. .NET Tools Bugfix ReleasesReSharper 2021.1.5 and Rider 2021.1.5 Released Hello everyone,As it happens, even bugfix updates sometimes require bugfix updates. Last week we released ReSharper 2021.1.4, which fixed a couple of issues in NRT analysis and source generator support. Unfortunately, it also brought back the empty spaces instead of inlay hints and other glitches in Visual Studio 16.10.3 (RSRP-485203). Now ReSharper 2021.1.5 is here to fix the problems. In Rider 2021.1.5, we’ve fixed a significant performance degradation. We’ve also fixed an issue with the F# type providers loader that was causing Rider not to start in some cases, and an issue causing changes in an F# file to be ignored when other files in the project were analyzed. You can download ReSharper 2021.1.5 and Rider 2021.1.5 from our website or update either product by using the Toolbox App. Share Facebook Twitter Linkedin Subscribe to a monthly digest curated from the .NET Tools blog: Discover more

Hello from JetBrains, The first major release of this year, ReSharper 2023.1, is here! Let’s take a look at the highlights of this version: We’ve introduced a set of inspections with corresponding quick-fixes to optimize and speed up your work with different types of collections by reducing the number of lookups in them. You now have more adjustable ways to introduce null checks in your code. We’ve reworked the update dialog that contains notes on the changes made to the latest build available, so you can make a more informed decision on whether you’d like to download or skip the update. Also, first-time ReSharper users will see the Keyboard Shortcuts screen so they can choose the shortcuts scheme they’d like to use. ReSharper C++ 2023.1 brings updates for C++20 modules and introduces the first batch of support for C++23 features. This version also includes Call tracking for incoming calls and macro substitution previews in tooltips and Quick Documentation popups.

ReSharper Support | JetBrains ReSharper FAQ Troubleshooting ReSharper can be suspended and resumed in the "Tools | Options | ReSharper | General" dialog. You may also map any keyboard shortcut for 'ReSharper_ToggleSuspended' command in the "Tools | Options | Environment | Keyboard" dialog. Hi - when disabled ReSharper still pulls a licence from the licenseServer. Is there a way to disable and not pull a licence from the server without uninstalling? Unfortunately when I do this, now NO files open. : Unfortunately this feature not very useful, since keyboard shortcuts will be still assigned to R# functions and will not work, when it is disabled =(You have to explicitly restore VS defaults or load previously saved keyboard mappings to restore VS functionality. After SO MANY YEARS-- why are the shortcuts not also disabled and enabled with the suspend? Why can you not cut the bloat down and make something helpful and usable without running 100% to 200% slower when turned on????UGGG! SO ANGRY AT YOU!!!With Resharper running in VS2017, not debugging, just sitting, VS processes uses 40 to 70% of total CPU continuous! When touching a JS file, it freezes VS2017 for 2 to 4 minutes, repeatedly, before becoming responsive again. When I suspend Resharper, goes from 70% CPU to 0% CPU immediately, and my cooling fans turn down.YOUR PRODUCT HAS BECOME UNUSABLE!!! I experience some performance issues when opening a solution on a UNC path (same network w 1GBit connection). There seems to be unspecified constant traffic/operations repeatedly flashing the Windows "busy" cursor in VS, sometimes the whole program lags which makes fluent work hard. I wanted to suspend R# Ultimate 2018.2.3 to narrow down the problem but can't even find the setting in the options anymore :( ReSharper has become a joke. Performance is so abysmal that Visual Studio hangs for minutes at a time when trying to activate the suspend button. Sigh. Cannot find the "Suspend" button in Resharper 2020.2 Is it possible to suspend ResharperC++ without suspending Resharper for C#? How-To'sInstallation issues? Get ReSharper Ultimate 2017.1.3 Are you having issues installing ReSharper in the last few days? Does the ReSharper installer complain that it doesn’t find any zones exactly matching 15.something?If this is what you’re seeing, then get ReSharper Ultimate 2017.1.3. Looks like that the latest Visual Studio 2017 Preview (15.3) has changed its internal versioning, which affected stable Visual Studio versions installed on the same machine, which ReSharper had no way of being aware of. With this ReSharper update, the problem should be gone.Other than a fix to the installer issues, there’s essentially nothing else in this update: if you have not installed and are not planning to install a Visual Studio 2017 Preview build, then you can safely skip this ReSharper update.Note to ReSharper 2017.2 EAP users: the latest ReSharper Ultimate 2017.2 EAP build released last week already contains the necessary fixes.
