Ant screen saver

A sidewalk is a swath of pixels that gets painted in an orderly fashion suchthat a solid area is filled in. The ant constructs the sidewalk by iteratingthe same pattern over and over, thus producing a straight sidewalk that isseveral times wider than the ant. In order to express the concept of ants constructing sidewalks, I added anoption to the program to actually draw ants rather than circles or squares.Here is the result, showing several ants drawn as ants, constructingsidewalks.In the next image, the sidewalk constructionis interrupted by a grid in the background. Every time the ant encounters agrid line, the net vector of the sidewalk is changed by 90 degrees. Normally,this would cause an ant to traverse a square, but in this case, it traversesa sort of square spiral.Here is an example of several ants constructing sidewalks oriented atdifferent angles. Splat the ants!Ant Smasher is a funny game for your Android phone. If you've got an insect phobia, look away now!As you might have guessed, Ant Smasher involves smashing ants and other insects that crawl their way down your screen. Make sure not to splat a bee, or you'll lose a life! As the game progresses, there are more ants - and they'll be faster - making the game a little more challenging.There are 3 game modes in Ant Smasher - classic, fun and baby (in baby mode, you never die). You'll also see links on the start screen to a kids version, but this is actually a separate download. The Ant Smasher start screen also has links to Games and smash your friends, but they are separate apps too and we think the whole interface is too cluttered with things that aren't actually part of the game!There aren't many options in Ant Smasher - you can toggle the music and sounds, but that's about it without buying new content.
