Before updating the HP M130fw firmware, the Chromebook did not find the HP M130fw. Other than that, the main issue I encountered is that the Chromebook sometimes does not immediately find the HP M130fw, so it is sometimes necessary to restart the Chromebook app, or even the Chromebook itself to make printing work.Scanning is initiated on the HP M130fw using the Apps menu on the touchscreen control panel. Specifically, this uses the Google Drive app to scan and then upload a scan file to the Google Drive account being used on the Acer Chromebook.Connecting the HP M130fw to the Acer Chromebook with a USB cable did not work because the Chromebook did not detect the HP M130fw.I found no documentation that the HP Print for Chrome extension worked with the HP M130fw, but it worked the same as with the HP M127fw, which is documented as working. The HP Smart app required wi-fi, so the HP Smart app did not work on the Google Nexus 5X because there was

With a brushed black metal chassis, RGB-backlit keyboard, and a truly incredible display, this is a gaming laptop with the heart of a Chromebook. In our review, we admired the strong performance of the 12th-gen Intel CPU and the phenomenal clarity of the 120Hz QHD+ screen - probably one of the best we've ever seen on a Chromebook, in fact. It's got a ton of storage too, thanks to the 512GB drive. The battery life isn't quite as strong as some of the other laptops on this list, but that's a tradeoff for the superior overall package. One important thing to note here is that while the Acer Chromebook 516 GE (that's short for 'gaming edition') can run Google Play Store games, you can't run PC games directly from Steam on it. Instead, these gaming Chromebooks exemplify Google's Chrome OS focus on cloud computing by relying on cloud gaming platforms such as Nvidia's GeForce Now or Amazon Luna - so bear in mind that you'll need to pay a subscription to one of those services to get the full gaming experience here.Read our full Acer Chromebook 516 GE review(Image credit: Future / James Holland)The best premium student ChromebookSpecificationsCPU: Intel Core i5-1335UGraphics: Intel Iris Xe Graphics eligibleRAM: 8GBScreen: 14" 16:10 WUXGA 1920 x 1200p IPS touch displayStorage: 256 GB SSDReasons to buy+Speedy performance for day-to-day productivity+Good looking and feeling touchscreen+Sturdy hinge+Strong battery lifeReasons to avoid-Speakers are quiet with hollow-sounding audio-Limited availability-Keyboard feels a little stiffIf you’re willing to spend a little more, the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (2023) is worth the extra cash. When it comes to the world of operating systems, few have come to garner as much popularity as Windows or macOS. This is due to many factors, the most important of which are the ease-of-use they offer with their user-friendly interface and its speed at which they can perform tasks.Google tried its hand at developing an operating system known as the Chrome OS. The OS stored most of its user data on cloud servers, making it primarily web-based. It was the primary OS for all Chromebooks. However, this quickly fell out of fashion due to the lack of functionality compared to its rivals. Acer revived the Chrome OS with Chromebase, an all-in-one desktop made primarily for office and educational use. What it can offerThe Chromebase is pretty good for the niche tasks it was developed for which revolved around kiosk management, education, or business-related work. However, outside the tasks mentioned, it can’t be expected to do much as its specs are pretty measly compared to other hardware. Then again, with everyone forced to stay at home these days and investing in hardware that lets them work at home, this kind of computer is certainly most welcome.Acer has improved on the Chromebase line since the press release of the first model back in 2015. Just from the physical aspect alone, they changed the base of the computer from a tilting stand to the new diamond cut stand.Since this is a computer that works on the Chrome OS, it will also use Google-related apps for most if not all of your tasks. It allows you to schedule a meeting with your Google Calendar, send the invites to other people with your Gmail, and finally have the conference at Hangouts.Acing meetings with Acer Chromebase" – @googlecloud discuss our new Acer Chromebase for Meetings 24V2, which is specially tailored for Hangouts Meet. Bypwr21, You are very welcome, thank you very much for letting us know those updates."is it Google Chrome, the Graphics Drivers, or my laptop (and therefore I have to just refresh or reset my PC)?", it is very difficult to diagnose what might be the source of the problem, it could be any of those 3 factors.Regarding the web browser, if you have the option, test a different one, just to rule out a possible problem with Chrome itself. In reference to the drivers, the computer should work with no problems while using the driver provided by Acer 27.20.100.9466."I haven't contacted Acer for an update for BIOS, so that might also be a problem.", that is very important when it comes to the performance of the computer because the BIOS versions contain fixes for specific issues like the one you are noticing on your machine, so it is strongly recommended to make sure of that the latest BIOS version is installed. After trying all those troubleshooting steps, if the problem remains, then get in contact directly with Acer support to report this scenario, to check if they have a fix for this situation, to verify if they can replicate the issue using the same exact computer/board you are working with, to confirm if a physical inspection of the machine will be needed and for further assistance on this matter, warranty options may apply on this position and if there is a fix that they need to add to their customized driver they. Back when Chrome OS first started getting popular, the Acer C720 Chromebook quickly emerged as one of the best options. Last month, though, that popular Chromebook got its last update. Now that the Acer C720 Chromebook is dead, let’s take a quick look at what that means for those who still own it, and what the best models are for replacement.Acer C720 Chromebook isn’t getting updates — why?One thing that’s not often focused on with Chromebooks is that, eventually, Google will pull the plug on updates. However, that takes quite a while, and it’s detailed well in advance. Google provides automatic updates for 6.5 years after a hardware platform is released, and in June 2019, the Acer C720 Chromebook’s EOL date hit.If you’re an Acer C720 owner, you might have caught a notification recently that the most recent update was the last one the machine will get. It’s a shame, as for many users, the aging hardware has kept up quite well. It’s also a source of nostalgia for some. Here on the 9to5Google team, the C720 was my second Chromebook and a beloved memory, and it was Abner Li’s first Chromebook purchase as well.My trusty old Acer C720 in its Toast skinLuckily, this change doesn’t necessarily mean C720 owners have to stop using the machine. Instead, it simply means that updates won’t come, and Google won’t offer any support. That, of course, is awful and more than enough reason to want to upgrade. However, it also means those usingAmazon.com: Acer Chrome Laptop Charger
