Life...i am just happy to get some clarification now :)@mcdougle99Pioneer now is just a title. Nothing more. I wouldn't like to receive cosmetics that other beta players can't get. After release. So let the dust settle after the first weeks and we will see if and how Rare comes back to this idea. I am hoping for some closed test sessions for new features in the future, but for now bugfixing and balancing seem to be some main issues.On the other hand i would have enjoyed to see some Pioneer-only cosmetics too, but that just wasn't planned, at least we are founders too. :-)so general consensus is not to unsubscribe. Any news regarding the topic?I feel like they will need some testers soon for the incoming update, or do they want to launch it with only their own test?Rare stated they will open a new tester program for future updates, what happened to that?Sometimes I get the feeling I got kicked out of the program without noone telling me so confirmation on that would help too. x)@wturok and if they want more testers 👀@wTurok And There's Nothing We Can Do ._.@wturok I'm sure they stated that they will want to use Pioneers again, they just don't know in what capacity as yet. Judging from the fact Rare had to adjust their plans shortly after launch (first major update wasn't due until June time and consisted of Captaincy and pets, but was changed to more content for non-legendary players) I'd say they may not have time to develop the new update, then push it out for testing and gathering feedback to make any significant changes before it's due to drop.Time will tell. When we're needed, they'll call!My guess is they either haven't thought about Pioneers or they're thinking about how they want to handle test sessions moving forward. Most games after launch tend to do Public Test Realms, letting anyone opt-in to test features for a big patch before it launches. Rare of course does their own thing and Pioneers so far have been mostly handpicked-ish plus of course pre-launch Pioneers were under NDA.Question is whether or not they're going to

It's a bit disappointing that pioneers aren't getting their own cosmetic (that I am aware of), but that is not what i would like to ask the devs and the community.Being a pioneer is still a thing you can unsubscribe from. Do we know if Rare has any plans of implementing test servers for new features and utilizing the test crew once again? is there still a reason to be a pioneer other than bragging rights (not really, but that is all it seems to offer).PS. I really miss those pioneer threads :(, wish they would return in some form :).AFAIK the idea would be that pioneers still active in the game would be able to beta test new in game features etc to play test in the hands of the actual gamers.I do hope for something to show our pioneer status from pre release just because it’s nice to be able to say you contributed I guess, but we will see what happens with that.I think in the short term we won’t hear much just because the team have their priorities, but I’d hope to start hearing about possible Test Realm type scenarios in a couple of months time.(None of this is fact, it’s my own speculation based on things seen and heard from Rare)They said they'll probably utilize pioneers that have bought the game and play it actively in future tests.@mcdougle99 As already mentioned in the other answers, Rare said they want to keep working with the pioneers
