Excitingly, using the pen in Google Slides has now become a reality! This enhancement opens up a new realm of interactivity and engagement for both presenters and audiences. Here are 5 key things to know about this feature: Using the Pen in Google Slides Presentation Mode While you are presenting your Google Slides you may want to circle something on the slide to bring attention to it. Until now, you had to hack this by using a Chrome extension. Now the pen feature is built into Google Slides presentation mode. Drawing while creating is still not a feature 1. The Pen Only Works in Presentation View There is still NO good drawing pen directly in Google Slides. When I use presentations in Canva I frequently use the draw tool, and it is pretty robust. Strangely, Google Slides has not gotten the clue yet that this is a highly valued feature. So it is important to understand that this pen feature is only when you click on “Slideshow” and are actually presenting the Google Slides. 2. Ink Can NOT Be Saved When using the Pen tool during the presentation, you can draw right on the slide. HOWEVER, this annotation can not be saved. When you exit the presentation, the ink will be lost. At my workplace we do simple line drawings of carriage doors. We just recently went from the 2013 version to LT 2021 and I can't get a couple of tools to work correctly. Before we used the Multi-line tool to draw mullions to separate the different lites in the windows. Now I'm trying to use the Double line tool, but can't get it to draw anything aside from a set of lines that are just 1/16" apart. I've tried changing the size, but I can't get it to do anything different. The other tool that I'm having issues with is the Stretch tool. In the 2021 version it seems to only want to move one or two lines that are parallel to each other but not the other lines intersect them, in this case vertical T&G.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Google has given me steps to follow but they didn't work or else I wouldn't be here, haha.
