How does the mosquito alarm work? The Mosquito works by exploiting a medical condition called presbycusis – or more simply put age-related hearing loss. The tone is highly annoying and is used to prevent and disperse teenagers congregating outside property and business premises. It switches on and off four times a second for up to 20 minutes which isn’t audible to people over about 25 years of age but is intensely irritating to people under that age.For the youth setting the frequency comes out of the speaker in a 60-degree arc and can reach 15-30 metres depending on the volume setting. And the young, the mosquito ringtone buzz may cause harm to the auditory organs.Factors for InaudibilityThere are situations when the high frequency mosquito ringtone cannot be heard. The various contributing factors for these may be natural, environmental or merely psychological. Age is one of the most potent factors for inaudibility of mosquito ringtone. As people grow older, the internal organs for hearing like the inner ear and the eardrum become weaker. The very high frequency sounds cannot be heard as people advance in age which has been medically established.NoiseContinuous exposure over a long period of time to extremely high frequency sounds and noise pollution causes hearing impairment. People who are fond of turning on their music at a very high volume are prone to this risk of loss of hearing. Also workplaces with lot of high decibel sounds adversely impact the hearing ability of a person working at those places. As the hearing gets impaired over a period of time, the internal ear organs gradually lose their ability to hear high pitch sounds. Apart from this, in an environment full of noise, it cannot be made certain that the high frequency tone like the mosquito ringtone can be audible. The noise that is always there at the background acts as a barrier for one to listen to the mosquito ringtone. Often people cover their cellphones with protective cases or pouches. They block the speakers on the cellphones. Since high frequency sounds like mosquito ringtone cannot easily pass through such barriers, the person carrying the cellphone covered with pouch can hardly hear the sound.SpeakersThe higher the volume of a cellphone, the easier it is for obvious reason to hear the mosquito ringtone. Loudspeakers in cellphones make hearing of high frequency sounds easier. A person's proximity to his cellphone is also a factor that facilitates hearing of mosquito ringtone. However it must be noted that ears should not be placed too close to the speakers or directly in contact with them as the high volume in which the tone is played might cause damage to the hearing.Mosquito Ringtones - Download the Mosquito Ring Tone Free
When the weather is nice outdoors, the last thing you want is a cloud of mosquitoes swarming your backyard BBQ or evening relaxing in a hammock. Not only are mosquitoes annoying and their bites itchy, but they also carry numerous diseases, making the insects both a health hazard and an annoyance. In this guide, I’ll share 40 of the best mosquito repellent plants, including their unique scientific properties and how to grow them in your garden. Why Repelling Mosquitos is ImportantRepelling mosquitos using plants offers an eco-friendly alternative to chemical repellents, reducing potential harm to the environment as well as the associated health risks. Some of my favorite mosquito repellent plants, such as citronella, lavender, and marigolds, not only deter mosquitoes but also help to beautify spaces and attract beneficial pollinators. Plus, by integrating these plants into gardens, you can reduce the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, enhance outdoor comfort, and promote a safer and more biodiverse environment. What’s more, this natural approach to mosquito control can lead to cost savings, decreased pesticide usage, and increased enjoyment of outdoor spaces. How Effective Are Mosquito Repelling Plants and Flowers? Certain plants contain specific essential oils and other chemicals that have been shown to repel mosquitoes. These mosquito-repelling plants can be innovative additions to your garden to help beautify your space and discourage mosquitoes from gathering in your outdoor areas.I find that the potency of these plants often depends on their variety, proximity to individuals, and the quantity in a given area. Additionally, local environmental conditions and other mosquito attractions, like standing water, can influence their effectiveness. In my experience, these plants can also be combined with other mosquito control strategies for the best results.40 Best Mosquito Repellent Plants:1. There is a new cell-phone ring tone that can’t be heard by most people over the age of twenty, according to an NPR report. The tone is derived from something called the Mosquito, a device invented by a Welsh security firm for the noble purpose of driving hooligans, yobs, scamps, ne’er-do-wells, scapegraces, ruffians, tosspots, and bravos away from places where grownups are attempting to ply an honest trade. The device emits a seventeen-kilohertz buzz, a pitch that is too high for older ears to register but, as we learn from additional reporting by the Times, is “ear-splitting” for younger people. A person or persons unknown have produced a copy of the Mosquito buzz for use as a cell-phone ring tone, evidently with the idea that it will enable students to receive notification of new text messages while sitting in class, without the knowledge of the teacher. The Times, in a welcome but highly uncharacteristic embrace of anarchy, celebrated this development as an ingenious guerrilla tactic in youth’s eternal war against adult authority—“a bit of techno-jujitsu,” as the paper put it. But it’s not entirely clear which side is the winner here. When you hear the tone, it apparently sets your teeth on edge, which means that, if the entire class suddenly grimaces, it’s a good bet that one of the students just got a text message. (Which probably says “sup.” Youth, as George Bernard Shaw correctly observed, is wasted on the young.) Anyway, what was wrong with “vibrate only”?The real interest of the story, of course, lies elsewhere. The news is not that students are fooling their teachers, which was never news, even in ancient Greece, or that technology is rapidly unravelling the fabric of trust and respect on which civil society depends, which everyone already knows. It is that one more way for middle-aged people to feel that they’re losing it has been discovered. The public concern over natural hearing loss—the Times explains that the medical term is “presbycusis”—is part of a trend that started when Bob Dole told the nation that he had trouble getting an erection. Now television commercials inform us that thirty million American men may have trouble getting an erection. Wow. And these are big, friendly, touch-football-playing guys, with George Clooney smiles and luscious, adoring, patient wives. Decay is everywhere discussed, though it is always, weirdly, disguised. Young women with luminous skin explain the importance of fighting premature wrinkling. Thirty is the new forty. We know that this is just anxiety manufactured to sell products, but it does have an impact. People worry about being old before they get old. Americans are living longer but, somehow, aging sooner.People tend to regard the gradual yet irreversible atrophyingmosquito tone Ringtones - Free by ZEDGE
