Vegan411 Ok, I understand the explanation for NA users, but I have question relating to regular overseas use: If I am a NA user willing to switch to verizon AND will also be spending considerable time overseas during the year, would getting the 9550 allow me to get 3G in both NA and europe? In other words, will getting the CDMA 9550 be my best option for getting 3G service in europe and NA? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Just trying to wrap my head around the 9520 NA frequency "lock" issue and 9550 not having 850/1900. Damn this shouldn't be so confusing ha. Also bear in mind that CDMA and EVDO share a radio even in 3G, while GSM effectively dead-ends at the 2.5G of GPRS and GSM carriers therefore had to go to UMTS.
