#1 I tried the following. Log into my server as root. CD to /etc/postfix/ Create a backup of master.cf (cp master.cf master.cf-bak) Open master.cf with a text editor Find the line labeled: "smtp inet n ......" Just below the line, insert a new line containing the following: 1234 inet n - n - - smtpd Save the file. Run "/etc/init.d/postfix restart" to restart Postfix.Add the new port to iptables by running: "iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 1234 -j ACCEPT"So far everything has worked. Now comes my problem ...When I try to save the rule with the command/etc/init.d/iptables saveAND/OR I try to restart "iptables",/etc/init.d/iptables restartI get the message ..Incorrect path or filename.I need the correct filename and path....Can someone help me with my problem?OS: Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTSPlesk Onyx Version 17.5.3 Update #6Many Thanks!! #2 Hi Eberhard Gierke,at the moment, the usage of port "25" is hard - coded within Plesk files ( encrypted ) and can't be changed as far that I remember.Pls. wait for a Plesk - Team - Member to verify my comment ( @IgorG ? ). #3 at the moment, the usage of port "25" is hard - coded within Plesk files ( encrypted ) and can't be changed as far You could be right. QuestionHow do backups to remote storage (FTP or cloud) work?AnswerStarting from Plesk Onyx 17.5, when a backup is configured to be created on remote storage, Plesk does not create a full local copy of it. Instead, Plesk transfers the backup in parts:First, a backup file of the largest Plesk Domain (database, mailbox, website content) is created locally as a temporary archive in /var/lib/psa/dumps.Then this created archive is transferred to the remote storage in parts of 100MB without additional compression.Simultaneously with the upload of the backup part to the remote storage, creation of the next subsequent archive is starting.Backups are uploaded into the single file backup_.tar on the remote storage (if multivolume backup is not selected). The information on how files are organized inside the archive is available hereNote: If the One Drive remote storage is used, backup files are split into parts according 'writeBufferSize', because the OneDrive does not support streaming uploadAfter an archive part has been uploaded to the remote storage, it is removed from the Plesk server. The Plesk Backup Manager signs remote backups and does not allow the restoration of backups with invalid signatures by default.Note: Since parts of backup files are created simultaneously, it is good practice to have free space equal to at least half of the full backup size. The minimum available free disk space before the backup is initiated should equal the total size of the two largest Subscriptions on the Plesk server. The following resources on the remote storage are affected during the backup creation process:Inbound traffic on the remote storage equals to the size of the uploaded backups.Outbound traffic is insignificant and is used for checking the structure of uploaded backups.Consumed disk space equals the size of the uploaded backups.Files are uploaded into the remote storage during the execution of a single durable operation. Are there any alternatives to myLittleAdmin in Plesk for Windows?
A mailbox does not exist, then the message intended for it will be deleted instead of being delivered to the Plesk Administrator email address (pleskadmin@example.com in this example). These changes will make all emails intended for the default root@ mailboxes of domains go to john.doe@example.com instead of the Administrator mailbox (pleskadmin@example.com in this example)If you instead want to receive these emails, but filter and reject the ones containing spam, you can do so by installing the Plesk Email Security extension and tweaking the spam score for incoming emails, as explained in the following article:What is the recommended initial setup after installing the Plesk Email Security extension? To save time for what matters most, we have developed .NET Toolkit, a Plesk extension that makes hosting .NET applications a breeze. So, what can it do, you ask?Manage installed versions of the ASP.NET Core Runtime.Create a website running on ASP.NET Core with just a few clicks.Manage environment variables.View logs of ASP.NET Core applications.Restart the application.Have we caught your interest? Let us walk you through the process of adding your .NET application in Plesk. Why do I need Plesk on my server? Before we start, you may want to ask, “What the hell is Plesk, and why do I need to install it on my server?”In a nutshell, it’s a control panel that helps you to focus on the main job: website development.Plesk will do the rest for you. No more worries about such aspects of web hosting as server management, security, mail, SSL certificates, backup, and so on: it’s all preconfigured and available for you in a user-friendly GUI with the ease of a few clicks.Want to know more? Read about Plesk. And now, let’s jump directly into .NET application hosting. Install Your .NET applicationFirst, we want to create a new domain in Plesk by clicking the Add Domain button and selecting the .NET site from the list of available options. Don’t worry if you do not have a domain name for the website just yet. For now, you can use a temporary domain name, courtesy of Plesk. Once the website has been created, Plesk will ask you kindly to choose between installing a default skeleton .NET application and uploading the application content using the Plesk File Manager. We’ll upload a custom .NET application based on the Blazor framework. Let’s go to File Manager and upload a ZIP archive with a .NET application by clicking “+” > Upload File. Then, we can extract the archive to the /httpdocs folder (Archive > Extract Files). We can now delete the source files because we’ll use the already-built project. Just move the project files from /bin/Debug/net6.0/publish to the /httpdocs folder. Finally, the content was uploaded successfully. Now, let’s configure the application to make it work!Clicking on the domain name opens a domain card with many options. Simply click the .NET Core button here. Configure Your .NET ApplicationBefore running the application, you need to configure it by specifying “Application root”, “Document root”, and “Application startup file” parameters. * (not configured)Next to “Application Root”, select the directory whereComments
