Your problems with IE7 and RD Tabs may be related in that they are both symptoms of the same underlying cause. There are performance issues with Remote Desktop post-Vista SP1 and post-XP SP3. They are related to underlying changes in the Remote Desktop API which is out of my control and affects all RDP 6.1 based applications. Mainly the "slow downs" are only on the first connection as it is being established (about a 1-2 second pause) when there are no connections already established. If RD Tabs hangs where it completely freezes for over a minute, this is new to me and may be a bug. I haven't seen that in my tests, however, so I can't replicate it here. If it's simply taking a long time (say, opening an entire folder with 10 connections taking 15 seconds to complete), that is to be expected with RDP 6.1, unfortunately. :-(Now, let's try to diagnose your problem here to see what is causing this and if there is anything we can do about it.Are you running the 2.1.4 alpha test or 2.0.13? 2.0.13 is not RDP 6.1 aware (it will always fall back to RDP 6.0) and it may be having some issues with your post-SP1 machine. Why it also was slow on your Vista RTM machine, I'm not sure.Have you installed any other 3rd party tools or software which may cause excessive CPU or memory load? (RD Tabs is fairly resource heavy because remote desktop in general is resource heavy and RD Tabs typically is hosting dozens of remote desktop connections at once.) How much RAM do you have? When you run Task Manager is RD Tabs constantly showing a large CPU usage (greater than 30% sustained when your remote connections are sitting idle)? Is any other program showing a large CPU. News Visual Studio 2022 17.1 Preview 2 Ships Microsoft shipped Preview 2 of its groundbreaking 64-bit Visual Studio 2022 IDE, officially called version 17.1. While this is deemed Visual Studio 2022 17.1 Preview 2, it's almost kind of a first official preview, as Preview 1 was simply the VS 2022 Preview 5 that was updated to v17.1 Preview 1 upon the VS 2022 launch date in November. "We've continued to iterate on the themes of the Visual Studio 2022 release and have enhanced existing features, brought new productivity improvements, and made it easier for you to make Visual Studio your own," said Dominic Nahous, senior lead program manager, Visual Studio, in a Jan. 5 blog post. He detailed changes in the Git, search and navigation, C++ and .NET experiences, along with some new capabilities for personalizing colored tabs. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it was the latter -- colored tabs -- that stirred much interest, judging from the first comment to the post. Although Nahous mentioned colored tabs as the very last item in his post -- after detailing new coding features and functionality -- colored tabs prompted the first comment, reaffirming that VS developers are notoriously finicky about their themes, colors, icons and other UI design concerns. "I like the new colored tabs feature, but please enable 'Group by Project' also for 'Top' tabs," the comment said. "I have my tabs at the top and that is the last feature from the old CDW I'm still missing ... Thanks for your greatPost-it : File Tabs - Target

You can do this already from the "View" menu, just remove the nick of the entry…- We have also such an option in Total Commander (were the tabs are a real gazworks), very useful for me since I dont' use them in that programme currently… but handier, since we can set it as a button in a tool-bar, then toogle quickly "tabs ¦ no tabs"… V.G.ClaudeClo Old user ON SELECTIVE STRIKE till further notice • herr_k.
