I posted on the Qbittorrent forum, But after reading the wiki I think this may actually go here.I seem to be having a problem with Qbittorrent, I recently tried to see if I could optimize Qbittorrent using a guide that I found online. My problem is that my torrents stopped downloading and uploading, Everything has stopped. I know that it works somewhat because when I restart my computer Qbittorrent gets some fluctuation in the DL bar. I tried uninstalling, Deleting the preferences folder to reset the settings, restarting my computer, exiting and reopening Qbittorrent, Nothing seems to have worked for more than a few seconds. I know that my internet is fine because I can do tests and browse the web just fine. Its just that the torrents don't seem to want to do anything.Internet Speed & Provider:AT&T U-verseDownload: 27.05 Mb/sUpload: 4.57 Mb/sLatency 21 msServer: Nashville, TNDistance away from server: ~50 miOS and Qbittorrent VersionMy OS is Windows 7 64Bit, The version of Qbittorrent is 3.3.7qBittorrent: 3.3.7Qt: 5.7.0libtorrent: 1.0.10.0boost: 1.61.0OS version: Windows 7 64 BitI used a calculator to determine what settings would be the best for my connection.qBittorrent Settings InformationConnections:Global maximum: 930Per torrent: 279Listening port: 63197Upload slots:Global maximum: Not "checked" Default greyed out "8"Per torrent: 8Half-open connection value: 20Is uTP on or off?: OnRate limiting uTP?: OnEncryption on or off?: On setting "Prefer Encryption"IPv6 on or off?: Listening on IPv6, Offlibtorrent version (use Help -> About -> Libraries to identify that):Qt: 5.7.0Libtorrent: 1.0.10.0Boost: 1.61.0Connection status? Despite that torrents always default to "Stopped".In "BitTorrent" settings i have sufficient queue size to make sure these torrents should start without issues, but even then if that would be the case they should go to "waiting" status, not stopped. It also happened in 5.0.2.qBittorrent is running on Synology DS423+ in docker container, my compose:services: qbittorrent: image: ghcr.io/linuxserver/qbittorrent:latest container_name: qbittorrent ports: - 6881:6881 - 6881:6881/udp - 9865:9865 environment: - PUID=1026 - PGID=100 - TZ=Europe/Warsaw - WEBUI_PORT=9865 - TORRENTING_PORT=6881 volumes: - /volume2/docker/qbittorrent/config:/config - /volume1/Downloads:/downloads restart: unless-stoppedSteps to reproduceAdd a new torrent using magnet link or torrent fileMake sure "start torrent" checkbox is selectedTorrent appears on torrents list but goes to "stopped status" instead of "downloading"Additional contextNo responseLog(s) & preferences file(s)In the log file it simply says:(N) 2025-01-04T18:24:58 - Added new torrent. I'm currently downloading a lot of files over bit torrent because I would like to just help out and reseed (Debian, Ubuntu, Xubuntu isos). I'm downloading them now because I have good download bandwidth and free time, but I've got an external drive coming in a few weeks. I'd like to move all those files from my array to the external and then keep seeding (possibly using a different computer). Is it possible to move the files (I'm saving the .torrent files too) and keep seeding without having to re-download the whole file?BTW, I'm using qBittorrent. asked May 2, 2014 at 3:59 Yes. If you open/load the .torrent file in qBittorrent (or any client, for that matter), and set the save path to the directory containing the file you already downloaded, then qBittorrent will see that a file of the same name exists and that all pieces of the file have already been downloaded. It will then proceed to seed the file. This feature is also beneficial if you have a partially-downloaded file and want to download the remainder of the file through bittorrent, but don't want to start from the beginning. answered May 2, 2014 at 4:02 saiarcot895saiarcot89510.9k2 gold badges37 silver badges39 bronze badges 7 You must log in to answer this question.
