Tap and then the panning!? what!? Also, its so simple to setup. U-he nailed it.The tape emulation is on point. I love all the options. However, I would like some more warble/tape style sound options. the wow/flutter just doesn't exactly do it for me. I think there could be some tweaking here. (I want that old school VHS tape warble. You can achieve this easy with a strymon el capistan.Anyways... still a must have for me. Thanks u-he. (not UA)It definitely holds its own in the broad sense. It seems the easiest to tweak to get to the optimum settings for a track. I love that you can choose the perfect in-between tape speed, for example. The delay is cool, and the flange sounds fantastic. Satin is flexible enough it seems you could throw it on a finished mix and really enhance key elements. I did just that on something rough which had VTM on the 2-bus, and after compensating for the VTM volume-boost I may end up keeping Satin on there. There is a clarity/depth in the lower mids I haven't quite matched on Satin, even though I'm preferring the overall tone more...I need to come back with fresh ears, and further tweaking.Worth noting: Roundtone sounds better than I remember. I find the controls a little counter-intuitive and the sound slightly less 3-D than Satin. It is supposed to be updated soon though.Anyway, it's probably worth it for the flange alone.
