SSL hardware I always thought "fast att" engaged is 3ms and switched off is 30ms. Don´t know what waves made of this.cheers This is my understanding, as well.To the OP: do you understand that attack time doesn't specify a delay in the onset of compression, but rather, the amount of time it takes for the compressor to reach a particular amount of gain reduction? This is a commonly-misunderstood thing.If the SSL manual says "'fast atk' started at 3ms at 20dB GR", that likely means it takes 3ms to achieve 20db of reduction. It's possible that the Waves manual is measuring attack time for a different amount of GR. For example, 1ms might specify the time it takes to achieve just 10db of reduction.In any event, I'd trust the SSL manual about SSL equipment over the Waves manual about emulations of SSL equipment. Sorry I've only used the Hardware and the Pull on the fast attack module and then the ABCD Master Buss, as you mentioned though some guys must be using waves plugs? I'd look at the Hardware Schematics and take a leap of faith that Waves Modelled from the SSL G Series Channel and Master Buss Compressor!
